Question by : I have a wireless doorbell. The speaker volume is on high, but the sound is low. Why?

The receiver requires four (4) D batteries, two (2) on either side of the receiver. One of the springs that makes contact with the negative end of the battery is slightly corroded. Could this be the problem with the audio sound level?

One of the batteries is past it’s sell by date. The three batteries in a doorbell are sometimes split so that two operate the circuit and the third is for the audio (speaker). If the speaker battery is low then the volume will be low although the bell will operate.
